Friday, August 25th
The ECM-19 Opening Ceremony will take
place in the "Palais des Congrès" at 18h30.
It will begin with some welcoming remarks and the presentation
of the First European Crystallography Association Prize and lecture.
This ceremony will be followed by a welcome reception to meet
with other attendees.
Monday, August 28th full day tours
Monday 28th August is the
excursion day of the Meeting. Full day tour are proposed (see
selection below). All excursions require at least 40 passengers.
The price includes traveling in a luxury coach, the services of
an English guide, admission to the sights and lunch (drinks not
included). The round trip distance is between brackets.
All excursions will start from the "Faculté des Sciences"
campus at 8 a.m.
Buses will bring participants from the hotels to the campus (see
hotel billboard for more details). Return: directly to the hotels
or dormitories around 8 pm.

People attending the Vosges mountain
excursions should bring good walking shoes, a hat and sun glasses,
a sweater and a waterproof cloth. Hiking will last about 5 to
6 hours so we highly recommended that you should take a light
snack, a bottle of water and a ruck-sack.
Tuesday, August 29th : classical music concert
The concert will start at 9 p.m. in the
beautiful Salle Poirel (see map #1) and will end around 11.30
p.m. Bus services back to the hotels will be available as usual
from "Place Carrière".
In order to be able to enter Salle Poirel, you must imperatively
have a ticket which will be given at the conference reception
desk in exchange for the voucher you have in your conference package.
This ticket is compulsory to enter Salle Poirel (800 seats only!).
Wednesday, August 30th
Wednesday evening is reserved for the
banquet of the Meeting.
Buses will leave from the university dormitories and from the
hotels around 7.30 p.m. (more details will be available at the
conference reception desk) to drive us to Lunéville (about
30 km East of Nancy).
A cocktail will be served in the gardens of Lunéville castle
called "les Bosquets", if weather permits, and will
be followed by the dinner in Salle Erckmann.
Return buses will run from midnight to 2 a.m.
To let us know how many people will be attending the banquet,
you must exchange your banquet voucher available in your conference
package no later than Sunday evening at the conference reception
desk. This ticket is necessary to enter the bus to Lunéville
and to attend the banquet.
Thursday, August 31st : closing ceremony
The closing ceremony will be held at
the "Faculté des Sciences" around noon. The "Cambridge
Crystallographic Data Centre" and "Oxford Cryosystems"
prizes will be offered to the laureates during this closing ceremony.
Walking tour
A free walking visit of the city (Nancy
"Art Nouveau" houses and monuments) will take place
on Saturday August 26th for all accompanying persons.
