| ECM19 Posters |
Two Poster Sessions, each lasting two days, will be held in the lobbies and Exhibition Halls (see maps #3 for location). Session I posters will be hung from Saturday morning to Sunday 7 pm, and those for Session II from Tuesday morning to Wednesday 7 pm.
Poster will be hung
on panels. Therefore, we recommend that each poster be at most
90 wide and 130 cm high and should be readable from a distance
of 2 meters.
Each poster will carry
an identification number on the top left corner. Stickers will
be supplied on request at desks located in the poster area. Each
poster-board will carry two identification numbers in the top
left-hand corner to differentiate the two poster sessions:
above, the identification numbers of posters to be hung
on that particular board during Session I,
below, those to be hung on the board during Session II.
Authors whose poster carries an even number (ex: s7'.m1.p12) are asked to stay next to their poster during the first day of their session (Saturday for Session I and Tuesday for Session II). Authors whose poster carries an odd number (ex: s2.m1.p9) are asked to stay next to their poster during the second day of their session (Sunday for Session I and Wednesday for Session II).
Oxford Cryosystems Poster award
Candidate to the
Oxford Cryosystems, Cambridge Data Bank or IUCr Poster
awards should also place the appropriate sticker below the poster
number. These stickers are also available on request at the ECM-19
reception desk.
Oxford Cryosystems
will be awarding a prize of 250 pounds sterling ( 2 500
FF) to the best poster describing work in low temperature crystallography.
The award will be made for either a description of low temperature
equipment or for any research in which low temperatures are the
main feature.
This prize is awarded by an independent panel of judges set up
by the ECM-19 organisers in Nancy.
Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre award
CCDC Poster Prizes in Chemical Crystallography for Younger Scientists
The Cambridge Crystallographic
Data Centre is sponsoring three poster prizes in chemical crystallography
for younger scientists. The scheme begins at ECM19 in Nancy, where
each award has a monetary value of USD250 together with a commemorative
item.
Posters should report original research in the field of chemical
crystallography or the application of crystallographic information
to structural chemistry. This definition shall include advances
in instrumental, experimental, theoretical or computational techniques
that contribute to this field.
Candidates should
not be more than 35 years of age on the 1st January 2000.
Eligible posters must be identified by a "CCDC" sticker,
which will be readily available at the meeting, and the ECA will
establish an independent panel to judge the contributions.
Candidate to the
Oxford Cryosystems or Cambridge Data Bank Poster awards should
also place the appropriate sticker below the poster number. These
stickers are also available on request at the ECM-19 reception
desk.
